Graduated from Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1980. General surgery residency at Mount Carmel medical Center 1980-1985 and Colorectal Fellowship at Grant Medical Center Columbus, Ohio in 1986. Was a Research Director for the colorectal program at Grant 1986 - 2009. In 2010 established an ACGME approved Colorectal Fellowship Program at Mount Carmel which ended during the year of the pandemic in 2020. Had continuously practiced colorectal surgery in Columbus Ohio with his own group of fellow colorectal surgeons till 2020, that year his group was acquired by Mount Carmel Health System where he has continued to work as of this time in 2026. Has served in various positions and committees but most importantly as Chair Of Residents Committee for The American Society of Colorectal Surgeons, President of AAPI Central Ohio, Columbus Surgical Society and Ohio Valley Society of Central Ohio. He is an avid Travel and Fineart Photographer as well as a golfer. When not working he loves to travel with his wife Gurjit, Meahar his daughter and son Gurdev. He says he has been blessed to have been at the right place at the right time. Hard work and the right set of ethics has greatly helped his accomplishments.
