President’s Message
Dr. Faozan Narvel
President, AAPI Central Ohio
It is an incredible honor to serve as President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Central Ohio. I accept this responsibility with deep gratitude, humility, and profound respect for the remarkable leaders whose dedication and vision have built this organization into what it is today.
AAPI Central Ohio is far more than a nonprofit organization — it is a family. A family that reflects the rich diversity of India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from the Arabian Sea to the Bay of Bengal. While we may speak different languages, celebrate different traditions, and even debate whose regional cuisine is best, we remain united by one common purpose: service.
Service to our patients with compassion, dignity, and excellence.
Over the years, AAPI Central Ohio has created a meaningful and lasting impact by supporting physicians, mentoring students, guiding International Medical Graduates, and helping open doors for the next generation of healthcare professionals. At the same time, we have remained deeply committed to serving our communities through outreach, education, and charitable initiatives.
I stand today on the shoulders of our past presidents and executive committees whose hard work, vision, and dedication established this strong foundation. Because of their leadership, we are not simply continuing a tradition — we are carrying forward a legacy.
I am fortunate to be joined by an exceptional, diverse, and energetic executive team. Together, we share a clear mission:
Over the next two years, our focus will include:
• Celebrating the achievements, leadership, and contributions of our members.
• Expanding educational initiatives through modern platforms including podcasts, web-based learning, and community media outreach.
• Strengthening community service efforts by supporting free clinics, health initiatives, and charitable programs for those in need.
• Building cultural collaborations with organizations across the Indian diaspora to celebrate and share our vibrant heritage.
• Increasing member engagement and enrollment to further strengthen our organization through unity and participation.
• Creating greater opportunities for mentorship, networking, and guidance for students, future physicians, and International Medical Graduates.
Someone once guided and supported many of us during our own journeys. Now it is our turn to give back.
I firmly believe:
Let us continue to support one another, uplift one another, and most importantly, serve with compassion and purpose.
Thank you for your trust, your support, and the privilege of serving this extraordinary community. I look forward to making the next two years meaningful, impactful, and truly unforgettable.
